Bartlesville Christmas Parade

Kurt decided to have a float in the Bartlesville Christmas parade this year. He figured that it would be good advertisement for his company & something that Kaleb would like to do. We did not have a grand budget for our float and really not much time to do anything so the float consisted of some lights & a Christmas tree that some friends let us cut down on their land. We decided to dress up our float a little with "Big Jake", the 9 foot tall mascot that Kurt's company has. There is a guy that works in the Tulsa office that actually lives in Bartlesville & he agreed to be Big Jake. Well- he came down with a cold the day before the parade. So--guess who became Big Jake?
Getting my gear on!

Kaleb & "Big Jake"
He thought it was very cool that Mom was in there. He told his Grandpa later that he wasn't going to call me Mom anymore, he was going to call me "Big Jake!"

It was actually a really fun evening & I didn't fall off the trailer! Although, I had to catch myself a few times & Big Jake's head moved around a little in the breeze:) Kaleb had a great time riding in the truck in his Santa hat waving & yelling Merry Christmas. Kaylee thought we were all crazy & stayed inside where it was warm at Grandma & Grandpa's! Kurt already has ideas for next year's float- He wants to go big time! We'll see...Kari or Tyler, if you are reading this, be prepared, Kurt thinks you all should come down for a visit & do some float building!!

Tyler, "Can we build it in the summer? If so sign me up...we can do WAY better than that. No offense to Big Jake of course!"
