Wyoming Trip

In July, we took a trip to Cheyenne, Wyoming to visit family. We had a great time. Kaleb loved hanging out with his cousins Logan & Brody. Cheyenne Frontier Days was going on, so there was lots of fun things to do during the week.

This is the first plane ride that Kaleb was old enough to really appreciate. He loved it. When we took off, he said "I can see everything up here!" and then he went to sleep. He didn't wake up until we were there -Kaylee did pretty well also & I was very thankful!

We got to watch Logan play a few games of baseball. Uncle Kurt was very excited about this.

During Frontier Days, the Kiwanis club has a huge FREE pancake breakfast 3 days out of the week. It started out as a training exercise for disasters to see how many people they could feed in a short amount a time & it is has become a tradition. They feed thousands of people in just a few hours. The record was 16,897 people in about 3 hours! Above is a picture of the line we stood in for the pancakes. It went up and down at least 2 city blocks! What is amazing is that we probably waited maybe 10 minutes to eat!

Kaleb enjoying the pancakes!

We also got to watch the Frontier Days parade. (Yes it is July & my kids are wearing coats-Cheyenne weather is definitely different than Oklahoma!)

The cousins after the parade

Kaleb got to meet the Air Force Thunderbirds who were in town to do an aerial show. They fly in amazing formations at up to 500 miles per hour!

Kaleb watching the Thunderbirds show- He did not like the loud noise!

Of course when you are in Cheyenne during Frontier Days, you have to go to the rodeo. Kaylee looks really interested doesn't she?

Kaleb was also pretty interested during the first half of the rodeo- He woke up about half way through & really enjoyed it.

Uncle Tyler had special passes for the rodeo so Kaleb & Grandad got to go check out the livestock up close.

We had a great trip! Kaleb was upset when it was time to leave, he really liked playing with Logan & Brody.
